ACET Partners with Nina Jojer to Pioneer AI for Economic Policy in Nigeria

The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is thrilled to announce its partnership with Nina Jojer to pioneer the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for economic policy in Nigeria. Following a successful model in Togo, Nigeria has been selected as a key focus country to identify critical policy drivers that can benefit from AI tools.

In an innovative move to harness AI for economic development, ACET is expanding its AI initiatives to Nigeria. This project aims to leverage AI's transformative power to drive economic growth, enhance policy effectiveness, and foster a more inclusive digital economy.

Nina Jojer, a renowned expert in technology applications for public policy, will lead this transformative project. With a rich background in technology and policy analysis, Nina Jojer is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between AI capabilities and policy needs in Nigeria.

Nina Jojer will also collaborate with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy of Nigeria to secure essential support and insights, ensuring the initiative aligns with national economic goals. This collaboration will create a conducive environment for the successful integration of AI technologies in policymaking processes.

The partnership will focus on developing AI-driven tools and frameworks to inform critical areas of economic policy, including trade, investment, and fiscal planning. By harnessing AI's potential, the collaboration aims to provide Nigerian policymakers with actionable insights and data-driven strategies to address the nation's most pressing economic challenges.

"We are excited to embark on this journey with Nina Jojer," said Rob Floyd, Director of Innovation and Digital Policy at ACET. "This partnership underscores our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to foster economic transformation across Africa."

"As experts in emerging technologies, this partnership aligns with Nina Jojer’s goals of catalyzing growth and driving impact. The initiative will undoubtedly guide the economic planning of the Federal Government," said Hon. Chukwuemeka Ujam, PhD, mni, Managing Partner at Nina Jojer.

The project will involve extensive research and stakeholder engagement to ensure the AI tools developed are tailored to Nigeria's specific needs and priorities. ACET is dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment where technology and policy intersect to create meaningful change.

This initiative aims not only to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in economic policy but also to set a precedent for AI integration in governance across the continent.
